20 fugitives locked up this Christmas

MANILA, Philippines — Authorities arrested 20 fugitives and seized illegal drugs worth P13 million as Christmas approached, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said yesterday.

From Dec. 23 to 24, multiple suspects were apprehended in Isabela, Pangasinan, Cebu, Palawan, Nueva Vizcaya, Bukidnon, Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Rizal and Metro Manila, acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said.

The suspects will face charges of rape, statutory rape, child abuse, murder and illegal drug offenses.

Anti-illegal drug operations yielded P13 million worth of methamphetamine and marijuana.
