MANILA, Philippines — The Marikina government yesterday reported an attempted theft and forced entry into the city’s office for senior citizens affairs (OSCA) building.

Marikina mayor-elect Maan Teodoro said the break-in occurred at the OSCA district office, delaying services for the elderly.

“We regret to inform you about the attempted burglary,” Teodoro said. “Some of our services may experience delays. We ask for your understanding for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Authorities have yet to release details about the suspects.

Teodoro assured the public that measures are being implemented to resume services for senior citizens as soon as possible.
