Central Luzon workers get second tranche of pay hike

MANILA, Philippines — Starting today, minimum wage earners in Central Luzon will receive the second tranche of the pay hike granted by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board last year.
The National Wages and Productivity Commission said workers in private establishments in the region will receive an additional P25 daily.
The adjustment will bring the daily minimum wage rate in Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales to P550 for workers in the non-agriculture sector, P520 for those in the agriculture sector and P540 for those in retail and service establishments.
In Aurora, the daily minimum wage will increase to P500 for workers in the non-agriculture sector, P485 for those in the agriculture sector and P435 in retail and service establishments.
