4 escapees recaptured in Maguindanao del Norte

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Four of five detainees who bolted jail in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte have been recaptured.

Three of those recaptured were identified as Sadem Ibrahim Diamla, Allan Taup Gumaga and Ruben Gulang Dadigan Jr. They were recaptured in separate police operations in Parang on Sunday, according to a report received by the Area Police Command-Western Mindanao.

Another fugitive was recaptured shortly after the jailbreak that occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. The jailbreak was discovered during a head count of detainees.

The manhunt for the fifth fugitive, identified as Pangimina Alo, alias Badrudin Ali Taher, would continue, police said.

The detainees are facing charges of murder and drug trafficking.

Police have alerted residents and advised them to report any sighting of the remaining fugitive in their communities.
