72,023 jobs up for grabs on June 12

MANILA, Philippines — Over 70,000 jobs will be available in job fairs to be mounted in various parts of the country by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on June 12.

DOLE Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) director Patrick Patriwirawan Jr. announced that the government is initiating job fairs in 48 sites to mark the country’s 125th Independence Day.

“As of June 6, 72,023 vacancies from 889 participating employers will be available for jobseekers,” Patriwirawan said.

He said the top industries offering jobs are business process outsourcing, manufacturing, retail and sales, construction, financial and insurance sectors.

Among the top positions available are customer service representative, production worker, sales clerk, cashier, laborer, lineman, financial consultant and microfinance officer.

DOLE urged new graduates and other jobseekers to check ahead of time the venue of the job fair near their area.
