MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or habagat will continue to bring scattered rain and thunderstorms in most parts of the country in the next three days, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

PAGASA said no low-pressure area or brewing storm is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility until Thursday.

It said monsoon rain would continue to affect Bicol, Caraga, Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), the Visayas, Northern Mindanao and Zamboanga peninsula as well as the provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

State weather forecasters warned the public that monsoon rain and localized thunderstorms could cause flash floods and landslides.
