Girl, 7, raped, killed in Laguna  

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A seven-year-old girl believed to be a victim of rape was found dead in San Pedro, Laguna on Thursday.

City police chief Lt. Col Socrates Jaca said the victim was found half-naked, with her upper body covered with a pillow and a mosquito net, on the second floor of a vacant house in Barangay Landayan.

Jaca said the victim was last seen on Wednesday when she went to the house of her grandmother.

Two boys, also minors, were taken into custody.

One of them executed an extrajudicial confession admitting the crime in the presence of a legal counsel. The other suspect denied his involvement.
