Go aids Pasig fire victims

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go on Thursday sent his team to organize a relief operation for families affected by a fire in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

Go’s staff distributed financial assistance, grocery packs, meals, masks and vitamins to 73 families at the Nagpayong multipurpose building. They also gave select individuals computer tablets, shoes and bicycles.

A team from the Department of Social Welfare and Development provided separate cash assistance to the victims to help them recover from the damage caused by the fire.

Go also urged eligible beneficiaries to have themselves vaccinated to reduce the risk of contracting severe symptoms or dying due to COVID-19.

He reminded them to keep adhering to health and safety protocols even after getting vaccinated, especially as new COVID-19 variants and sub-variants continue to emerge.

Go advised those in need of medical attention to visit any of the 31 Malasakit Centers across Metro Manila to seek assistance from the government.
