3 dead in Bulacan, Nueva Ecija drug stings

MALOLOS, Philippines — Three persons were killed in anti-drug operations in Bulacan and Nueva Ecija yesterday.

Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan police director, said Danilo Paiste and Raffy Reyes engaged undercover police officers in a shootout in Barangay Lambakin in Marilao shortly after midnight.

Police said two .38-caliber revolvers, 20 sachets of shabu, two sachets of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, two weighing scales and marked money were recovered from the fatalities.

In Nueva Ecija, police director Col. Colonel Jaime Santos said Jay Mark dela Peña shot it out with anti-narcotics agents in Barangay Mabini Homesite in Cabanatuan.
