MANILA, Philippines — Beginning Dec. 1, the Supreme Court (SC) will observe a four-day workweek as the country remains under community quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SC employees will work 10 hours daily or from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. four days a week, equivalent to 40 hours of work weekly, according to an administrative circular issued by Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta.

Peralta said the justices would decide the schedule of their offices.

Other SC offices and services will be open from Mondays to Fridays with at least 80 percent of personnel in attendance, according to the circular.

Court employees will be divided into five groups each comprising 20 percent of the total number of personnel.
