MANILA, Philippines — A convicted pedophile from New Zealand has been arrested in Bukidnon.

In his report to Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, acting BI intelligence division chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. identified the pedophile as Alan James Linton.

Manahan said Linton was arrested at his residence in Valencia City on Aug. 23 based on a mission order from Morente.

The BI said the New Zealand police informed the bureau of the presence of Linton, who was convicted of two counts of child exploitation in his country.
