4 dead in Bulacan drug war

MALOLOS, Philippines — Four more drug suspects were killed as the government continued its campaign against illegal drugs in Bulacan on Thursday.

 Col. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, identified the fatalities as Jay-R Ansiboy, Rommel Banay, Amador Medina and Reynaldo del Rosario. 

Bersaluna said Ansiboy and Banay shot it out with anti-narcotics agents in Barangay Gaya-Gaya, San Jose del Monte; Medina in Masagana, Pandi, and Del Rosario in Maronquillo, San Rafael. 

He said 31 sachets of shabu, a sachet of dried marijuana leaves, three .38-caliber revolvers, an improvised shotgun and marked money were recovered from the fatalities. 

Police said 13 other persons were arrested in stings in Baliwag, Marilao, Sta. Maria, Meycauayan and San Jose del Monte.

The suspects reportedly yielded sachets of shabu, marijuana bricks and marked money.
