MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau on Thursday said Typhoon Paeng (international name: Trami) is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday morning.

In its latest advisory, PAGASA said "Paeng" maintained its strength while its movement has remained quasi-stationary.

As of 10 a.m., the eye of "Paeng" was traced 750 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes. It is packing maximum sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph.

By Friday, it is forecast to be located in east north east of Batanes, a day before it exits PAR.

PAGASA said there is no tropical cyclone warning signal raised but sea travel remains risky over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Visayas.
