2 dead in Quezon road accident

PAGBILAO, Quezon, Philippines –Two persons died and another suffered serious injuries in an accident along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Talipan here yesterday.

A report to Pagbilao police chief Chief Inspector Von June Nuyda showed that a Raymond bus (UWE-595), driven by a certain Marantal was on the northbound lane when it collided with a tricycle traveling on the opposite direction.

Tricycle riders Benito Malveda Jr., 46, and Raymundo Macabuhay, 47, died at the scene. The injured victim, who has yet to be identified, was brought to the Quezon Medical Center in Lucena City for treatment.

The bus driver escaped.
