Centipede found in can of tuna

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines – A woman was hospitalized after eating a canned tuna allegedly containing a centipede in this city yesterday.

Businesswoman Pia Cabrera of San Antonio Village in Barangay Sta. Cruz reportedly suffered stomach pain, dizziness and nausea and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Earlier, radio reports said Cabrera was a victim of food poisoning.

Cabrera said she had consumed more than half of the contents of the can when she found the centipede.

Authorities were still investigating the incident.
