4 drug suspects slain in S. Kudarat

TACURONG CITY, Philippines – Four suspected drug dealers were shot dead at the border of this city and Lambayong town in Sultan Kudarat on Monday.

Manuel Rafael, Felix Rodrigo, Rhea Ramirez and Joan Mamon died at the scene from several gunshot wounds, said Superintendent Junny Buenacosa, chief of the city police.

The victims were in a tricycle on their way to Lambayong when six armed men pulled them over, herded them to one side of the highway and shot them.

Investigators said the victims were engaged in drug trafficking, but declined to elaborate.

The victims’ companion, Regine Dalogdog, was shot in the neck but survived.
