Kidapawan flash floods displace over 300 families

NORTH COTABATO, Philippines – More than 300 families were evacuated to higher grounds as flash floods swept through a dozen villages in Kidapawan City before midnight on Thursday.

The displaced families spent the night at the Kidapawan City gymnasium and adjacent government buildings.

Heavy rains continued to fall in Kidapawan yesterday, prompting Mayor Joseph Evangelista to suspend classes in all schools in the city.
