Man killed after being run over by truck - report

MANILA, Philippines - A man was killed after a dump truck hit him while he was crossing a street in Quezon City Wednesday night.

A radio report identified the victim as Rodel Dones, 28, of Mangatarem, Pangasinan, who died instantly after being hit by a speeding dump truck in Brgy. Paligsahan, Quezon Avenue.

The truck driver did not stop the vehicle after bumping Dones, who was not in a pedestrian crossing during the accident, the report said.

Police are still investigating the hit-and-run case.
