Several wounded in Quezon Provincial Jail shooting - report

MANILA, Philippines -  Several persons were injured after gunfire from an automatic assault rifle rang out inside the Quezon Provincial Jail in Lucena City, Wednesday morning.

A radio report said that there were a gathering of inmates and their visiting relatives inside the prison facility when a volley of gunfire was heard.

Several jail guards and policemen rushed to the scene, were several people were wounded.

Several ambulances have arrived at the facility to take the injured to hospitals for medical treatment.
