Bird strike damages plane in Dipolog

MANILA, Philippines - Two blades of an Airbus 320 of AirphilExpress from Manila were damaged by a bird strike while about to land at the Dipolog City airport yesterday afternoon.

The plane, which was carrying 158 passengers and six crewmembers, including the pilot and co-pilot, managed to land safely though despite the damaged blades.

The plane had to stay overnight in Diplog while replacement parts arrive from Manila.
