Quezon bio-control lab vs ‘cocolisap’ put up

PAGBILAO, Quezon, Philippines – The provincial agriculture office has put up a bio-control laboratory in its compound in Barangay Talipan here to address the problem on coco-scale insects or “cocolisap.”

Provincial agriculturist Roberto Gajo said the laboratory would serve as nursery for the coccinelid beetle, which could effectively wipe out the “cocolisap” that has long been affecting not only coconuts, but also lanzones, mangosteen and other fruit-bearing trees.
