Missing Thai national after Mayon explosion found alive

MANILA, Philippines - The Thai national who went missing after Mayon Volcano's ash explosion has been found alive on Wednesday.
 
Boonchai Jattupornong, 35, who is the last among the reported missing trekkers, was found around 3:45 p.m. in Camp 2 or located about 3,000 feet from the foot of Mayon.
 
The Thai survivor was unable to walk due to fatigue and suffered broken right arm and burns in the neck and back, according to Cedric Daep, head of the Albay Public Safety Emergency and Management Office.
 
The agency's report said the survivor is now in stable condition.
 
Twenty-seven climbers were reported to be in Camp 2 when the volcano spewed ash and stones on Tuesday morning. Related story: 5 dead, 7 hurt in Mayon Volcano ash eruption
 
Earlier on Wednesday, the five fatalities were also recovered.
 
Three were German nationals, one was a Spanish national residing in Germany, and Filipino tour guide Jerome Berin.
