6-vehicle smashup causes traffic in SLEX

MANILA, Philippines - Six vehicles got caught up in an accident at the C-5 flyover exit, causing heavy traffic along the northbound of the South Luzon Expressway in Makati City on Thursday morning.

Police said that the accident happened at around 8 a.m. after an L-300 van lost its rear tire while traversing the expressway.

Several vehicles rammed each other, including a passenger bus, while trying to avoid the van and its detached tire.

SLEX traffic personnel reported that the tail of the traffic in the area reached the Bicutan exit because the accident forced vehicle owners to use only one line of the northbound lane.
