1 dead, 2 hurt in Navotas fire

MANILA, Philippines - A 58-year-old man died while two others were injured when fire broke out at a residential area in Navotas on Monday early dawn.

A radio report said Alberto Garcia was overwhelmed by thick smoke inside his house on Alonzo St., Brgy. Daan Hari, Navotas past 3 a.m. 

Meanwhile, hurt during the blaze were Gabriel Cruz and his wife Rosita, the report added.

Firefighters managed to put out the fire two hours later, which destroyed an estimated P1million worth of properties. - Dennis Carcamo
