Rob suspect arrested

CEBU, Philippines - Police from the Basak police station in Mandaue City arrested yesterday morning the suspected thief that broke into the ABS-CBN compound in barangay Jagobiao.

Joel Catubay, 33, married, of sitio Dunggoan in barangay Jagobiao was arrested by a team led by Basak Police chief P Sr./Insp. Wilson Abot.

The CCTV of ABS-CBN shows Catubay breaking into the compound.

Employees Mary Uy and Kimberly Pasuit lost cash, jewelry, and a cellular phone.

Abot also said Catubay was a constant companion of Arnel Porras, a robber who was arrested two weeks ago in Liloan town.

Catubay is presently detained at the Basak police station. - THE FREEMAN
