Precious Lara, nag-sorry sa Diyos!

Flight ng nanay nag-divert...

Ibinahagi ni Precious Lara Quigaman sa kanyang Facebook account ang nangyari sa kanyang ina na nagbiyahe patungong Vancouver, Canada galing dito sa Maynila.

Napabalita kamakalawa lang ang nangyari sa flight ng PAL PR 116, patungong Canada na nag-divert at nag-land sa Anchorage International Airport sa Alaska.

Ayon sa ulat, hindi sinabi ng PAL kung ilan ang sakay na pasahero na safe namang nag-land sa Alaska.

Sabi ng statement na inilabas ng PAL, “As safety comes before everything else, the flight crew followed established safety procedures and diverted the aircraft. The aircraft landed safely, and all passengers and crew on board are safe.”

Inayos din nila ang paghatid sa mga pasahero sa Vancouver mula sa Alaska. At sakay roon ang ina ni Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz na si Precy Quigaman.

Noong Huwebes ay ipinost ni Lara sa kanyang Facebook account ang kuwento tungkol sa balitang ‘yun. “Have you heard what happened to flight PR 116 last night?

“My heart dropped when I found out my mom was on that flight. I was terrified, but God reminded me: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Kuha ito sa Philippians 4:6-7.

Habang sakay sa kanyang kotse, ibinidyo ni Lara ang kuwento niya na ipinost sa kanyang Facebook account, “Kagabi kasi my mom was supposed to arrive from Manila papunta dito sa Vancouver but around the time that she was supposed to land, may na-receive akong email from the airlines na na-divert ‘yung flight.

“Hindi sinabi ‘yung reason, and of course I searched and then nakita ko because of an emergency. So, kinabahan talaga ako. Sobra akong natatakot. So that was around 5 or pa 6 p.m., and then up until 7:30 wala akong nare-receive na message from my mom.

“Nakikita ko na parang pa-land na daw using the tracker, pa-land na daw si Mama. And then siyempre, nag-search up ako ng kung anu-ano and I saw na ‘yun nga nagkaroon daw ng problema. And the plane had to go down from 30k feet to 10k feet.

“So, sobra na akong kinakabahan, natatakot na ako as in hindi na talaga ako mapakali na to the point na naiiyak na talaga ako.”

Ang asawa niyang si Marco Alcaraz ang nagyaya sa kanyang magdasal sila. Lahat ay ipaubaya sa Panginoon at huwag matakot.

“So Marco prayed with me and I was reminded na, instead of praying right away, ang ginawa ko, nag-search pa ako, lalo lang ako nag-panic.

“And it is said in the word of God na do not be anxious about anything. But with prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving make your request known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.

“And after that, of course meron pa ring konting kaba but then just a few minutes after that prayer, my mom messaged and sabi nga na dun lang daw siya nagkaroon ng access sa WiFi kaya hindi siya naka-message agad. And she’s fine, everyone was fine.

“Although it was a scary time, kasi daw nagbaba na ‘yung mga oxygen mask, and a lot of people were already panicking and scared and she also hyperventilated. But I’m so thankful that she is safe, she is okay.

“I’m just so grateful and I said sorry kay Lord, kasi nga naunahan ako ng kaba, ng takot. But He is reminding us, and sometimes we need that reminder. And so that’s why I am recording this video…maybe you are going through something too na instead of going straight to God, you try to look for answers or peace elsewhere. But only really talaga, only He can give us that peace that we need.

“Hindi natin mako-control every situation, and even if we can, we have to trust in God that He’s got us.”

Ibinahagi ito ni Lara para ipaalala sa lahat na huwag matakot, si Lord na ang bahala.

“So, that’s my prayer for you today—don’t worry kahit mahirap, don’t be anxious, kahit mahirap. Make your request known to God and ask for that peace na He will do everything he can for you because He loves you. God bless you,” sabi pa ng dating beauty queen/actress.

Bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng 6th Philippine Film Industry Month o PFIM 2026, ngayong araw ng Sabado ay National Cinema Day.

Ang presyo ng ticket sa mga sinehan sa buong bansa ay nagkakahalaga ng P100 lamang.

Isa lamang ito sa activities sa pagsisimula ng PFIM 2026.

Kahapon ay ipinalabas nang libre ang restored copy ng classic film ni Eddie Romero na Ganito Kami Noon... Paano Kayo Ngayon sa Teatro ng Fort Santiago sa Intramuros.

Punong abala rito ang Film Development Council of the Philippines ( FDCP ) na pinamumunuaan ni Direk Joey Reyes.

Sa closing ceremony nito sa Sept. 30 ay bibigyan ng special tribute ang bagong hirang na National Artist Armando “Bing” Lao.

Sa 91 na deklaradong National Artists ng bansa mula noong 1972, labing-isa sa mga ito ang mula sa larangan ng Film and Broadcast Arts, kung saan kabilang si Armando “Bing” Lao.

Ang 10 naunang National Artists for Film and Broadcast Arts ay sina Lino Brocka, Ishmael Bernal, Gerardo de Leon, Eddie Romero, Fernando Poe Jr., Manuel Conde, Kidlat Tahimik, Nora Aunor, Marilou Diaz-Abaya at Ricky Lee.

Sa closing ceremony ng PFIM 2026, pagkakalooban ng Lifetime Achievement Awards sina Vic del Rosario Jr., Hilda Koronel, Tito Genova Valiente, at ang Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino (na 50 taon na this year).

Marami pa silang bibigyan ng pagpapahalaga sa closing ceremony na gaganapin sa isang hotel sa Quezon City.
