Walang Pasok: Class suspensions for Jan. 16, 2026 due to 'Ada'

MANILA, Philippines — Several local government units have announced the suspension of classes on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, due to inclement weather caused by Tropical Storm Ada.

State weather bureau PAGASA warned of heavy rains and strong winds brought by the northeast monsoon and the periphery of Ada, which may persist until Saturday, January 17, even in areas outside the storm’s projected track.

Below is a running list of class suspensions:

Region V (Bicol Region)

• Albay: No face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
• Sorsogon: No face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private
• Camarines Sur
  • Bula: No classes, Kinder to Grade 6
  • Caorasan High School, Itangon High School, Sto. Niño Integrated School: No classes, all levels

Region VIII (Eastern Visayas)

• Eastern Samar: No classes, all levels, public and private
• Biliran (Kawayan): No classes, all levels, public and private; effective the afternoon of Jan. 15 until lifted
• Samar (Catbalogan City): No face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private; shift to alternative learning
