Gina reappointed to Cabinet

MANILA, Philippines - President Duterte has issued ad interim appointments for four Cabinet members who have not been confirmed by the Commission on Appointments, Malacañang announced last night.

Regardless of criticisms coming from pro-mining groups, Duterte has issued an ad interim appointment for Environment Secretary Gina Lopez.

In a statement issued by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, appointments were also issued by the President for Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano, Social Welfare Secretary Judy Taguiwalo and Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Ubial.

Duterte arrived yesterday from his week-long visit to the Middle East. The ad interim appointments were issued with Congress on recess.
