Suspect for killing Malolos RTC judge slain

MANILA, Philippines - The arrested suspect in the killing of Malolos regional trial court Judge Wilfredo Nieves was slain on Monday.

According to a report from the STAR, Arnel Janoras was slain by police in a "gun grabbing incident."

Janoras was being transported to prosecutors for inquest on another case when he grabbed the firearm of a police escort.

Nieves was killed in an ambush in Ticay, Malolos City a few weeks ago. He died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds in the body.

The Supreme Court condemned the killing of the Malolos judge and vowed justice for him and his family. - Patricia Lourdes Viray
