IN PHOTOS: Menacing Florita as seen by orbiting astronaut
MANILA, Philippines — How would a super typhoon look like from outside Earth?
American astronaut Gregory Reid Wiseman on Sunday released a photo of Super Typhoon Florita, internationally named Neoguri, from the International Space Station in Low Earth orbit.
Wiseman said that Florita, which intensified into a category 4 typhoon on Monday, took up astronauts' full view of the world as it takes aim at Japan.

On Saturday, Wiseman also posted an image from space of the brewing Florita over the Pacific about to pass through northern Philippines and enter the country's area of responsibility.

Florita continues to enhance the Philippines' Habagat monsoon without directly hitting land, but it is expected to ravage Japan, notably Okinawa island.
