Tom Hiddleston stars in 'Coriolanus' musical

MANILA, Philippines- Tom Hiddleston, best known globally for his role as Loki in “Thor” franchise stars in the theater presentation of “Coriolanus” written by William Shakespeare.

Directed by Josie Rourke, “Coriolanus” is a theatrical play filmed in HD, its big screen Philippine debut was held at Ayala Malls Cinemas’ Greenbelt 3 in cooperation with the British Embassy of Manila last September 3.

Hiddleston takes on the titular role when an old adversary threatens Rome, the city calls once more on her hero and defender: Coriolanus. But he has enemies at home too.

Famine threatens the city, the citizens’ hunger swells to an appetite for change, and on returning from the field Coriolanus must confront the march of realpolitik and the voice of an angry people.

Following its opening gala, “Coriolanus” will be available to be screened by the public on September 5 and 6 at Greenbelt 3 Cinema.
