MANILA, Philippines — My Korean Jagiya lead stars Alexander Lee and Heart Evangelista with co-stars Iya Villania and Divine Aucina took some time off their busy schedules to grace Bacolod City’s Masskara Festival.

Fans showed up in droves at SM City Bacolod’s Activity Center with posters, placards and pictures expressing their love for Heart and Alexander.

The crowd went wild upon seeing Heart and Alexander as they entered the activity center. The fans, eliciting shrieks of joy who continuously cheered them throughout the show, adored Heart and Alexander especially when they performed together My Jagiya, the official theme song of My Korean Jagiya.

“Naku may kasalanan kayo kay Heart, pinaiyak n’yo sya,” Iya told the crowd.

Heart expressed her heartfelt gratitude on her Instagram for the overwhelming support from their fans in Bacolod, “Never in my wildest dreams did I think My Korean Jagiya would capture the hearts of so many people! Our mall show last night was truly overwhelming. Backstage, we were so moved that we were crying — hearing all of your screams and messages of support. We will never forget the love we felt! Jagiyas, you have my heart.”

Alexander also shared his experience during the mall show. “Heart and I did not expect so many people to show up for our mall show. But as we went down the escalator, we were so shocked by the number of people that showed up and we were so touched and burst into tears. Thank you so much our dearest Bacolod jagiyas! Heart, Iya, Divine and I had such a great time together with all of you and for the Masskara Festival! Thank you for your warm welcome and I really, really hope that you will all continue to enjoy MKJ. I promise you I’ll continue to do my best for all of you.

On the other hand, GMA VP and head of GMA’s Regional TV Department Oliver Amoroso shared that Kapuso Network is happy to bring the first-ever Filipino-Korean romantic comedy to Bacolod and to participate in this year’s Masskara Festival.

Present during the show were GMA Western Visayas station manager Jonathan Cabillon, GMA Davao’s Richard Angeles, GMA 7 Corporate Communications’ Jojo Aquio and Marian Grace Antonio.

Since its pilot airing last Aug. 21, My Korean Jagiya has become a part of Pinoy’s viewing habit because of its entertaining and relatable storyline. Heart and Alexander promise more romantic weeknights as it features sweeter scenes between Gia and Jun Ho.
