ABS-CBN issues statement on John Lloyd Cruz's leave from showbiz

MANILA, Philippines — Actor John Lloyd Cruz will be taking a time off from showbiz and controversies.
In a press statement issued by ABS-CBN on October 6 to Philstar.com, the TV network announced that "ABS-CBN and John Lloyd Cruz have agreed for him to take an indefinite leave of absence to attend to personal matters."
According to the statement made by Kane Errol Choa, ABS-CBN's Head for Integrated Corporate Communications, John Lloyd will be taking a break outside the country and will return to ABS-CBN after his leave of absence.

John Lloyd was last seen at the Star Magic Ball on September 30 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, where he reportedly partied with friends, including ex-girlfriend Bea Alonzo, known to be dating Gerald Anderson. Bea and Gerald arrived together at the ball, while John Lloyd bypassed the red carpet and went straight to the closed-door ballroom.
In an Instagram post, John Lloyd, posting as ekomsi, showed a scene from the ball's after-party.
The following day, he posted a photo showing him and rumored girlfriend Ellen Adarna dining together. Ellen was a no-show at the ball.
John Lloyd then deleted the photo when it went viral. He and Ellen have also deleted their other sweet photos together, but continued to like each other's posts.
The two became controversial after posting travel photos and videos showing them enjoying the beach together
In recent interviews with the press, John Lloyd admitted that he and Ellen are enjoying each other's company, but he still refuses to confirm the real score between him and his "Home Sweetie Home" co-star.
Now that he is on leave from showbiz, will Ellen join him?
