MANILA, Philippines — Actress and dancer Ella Cruz has denied links with non-showbiz bachelor who became viral for inviting actress Erich Gonzales for a coffee date via billboard.
Rumors that Ella is the former girlfriend of bachelor Christian “Xian” Gaza surfaced after the public discovered past photos of him and the young actress. This was after he became controversial for his public invite to Erich.
On his Instagram account, netizens discovered a post suggesting that Ella was his former girlfriend.
“All I want is to see you happy and successful in life, even that happiness no longer includes me,” the caption of Xian’s Instagram photo with Ella read.
Ella then took to Twitter to dismiss the allegations without naming Xian.
“Not real,” she tweeted with a money emoji.
Prior to Ella’s denial tweet, she also tweeted “whoooop creepy” at the height of the viral coffee date billboard invite to Erich, described by netizens as both “kilig” and “creepy.”

Xian’s Twitter account also indicated that he previously initiated surprise deliveries to Ella.
On one of his tweets, Xian posted a video of Liza Soberano, encouraging him to push through his love life.
“When CRUSH supports your love life. Thank you @lizasoberano! @itsEllacruz,” Xian wrote, insinuating that Liza was his crush and Ella was his love life.
‘Xian a scammer, other celebrities targeted’
Meanwhile, social media personality Dewanie Kim Catapang vouched for Xian’s grand moves to woo celebrities.
She made a Twitter thread citing all the efforts Xian allegedly made for celebrities, including Ella, Liza, Donnalyn Bartolome, Thai hairstylist Nitchamon Jirapatchanon, among others.

Dewanie further claimed that Xian is a scammer and allegedly victimized a lot of influencers in Davao, citing she herself was among those who fell for his scam. She shared how Xian allegedly works under various companies to get close to celebrity and swindle people.
She was allegedly invited to work for his supposed charity project which turned out to be a fraud and was also asked to work on a project without getting paid.
Dewanie’s Twitter thread was shared by more than 8,000 netizens, making him one of the trending topics on Twitter as of posting.
Xian earlier said his invite to Erich was "sincere" and not for his business.
