MANILA, Philippines - Annabelle Rama got emotional after she recalled almost losing her daughter Ruffa Gutierrez.

The Gutierrez matriarch said she’s avoiding misunderstandings with her daughter after the incident when Ruffa lost her pulse and breathing for five minutes.

Kasi namatay na siyang five minutes, e, nabuhay lang siya, e,” she revealed during the press conference of "It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez" on Monday.

Annabelle got emotional when she recalled the incident. Her husband Eddie Gutierrez then spoke on her behalf.

So panoorin n'yo na lang, it's going to be shown in T.V.,” he said.

After seeing her mom breakdown, a teary-eyed Ruffa said, “I'm so happy you care about me pala Mom, 'no? Akala ko you don't care anymore.”

During the interview after the press conference, Annabelle said she plans to have Ruffa checked in Singapore to ask for a doctor's second opinion.

Sabi ng doktor wala siyang findings," she explained. “Iba ang mag-second opinion ka. Mahirap na magtitiwala ka tapos may ibang [findings], knock on wood. To be sure lang.

While her daughter plans to consult with a spiritualist, Annabelle said that “I don’t believe that kasi pala-simba ako.

She also believes that her daughter's condition was due to lack of rest, as she was busy with her business with boyfriend Jordan Mouyal.

"Natatakot din ako kasi sabi ng doctor baka sa stress din ni Ruffa, walang pahinga," she said.

Annabelle said that Ruffa’s daughters Lorin and Venice told her that their mom is quite busy.

So she already advised her to stop the business. Kasi at least sa showbiz ang trabaho up to this time lang tapos tulog na,” she said.

“Kasi ang dream niya maging five million a month ang kikitain,” she added.

The said incident with Ruffa will be seen in the fourth season of "It takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez," which will start airing on Monday, July 25, 8:30 p.m. on E!
