Wedding between a Kapatid & a Kapuso

MANILA, Philippines – Radiant in a gown by Jo Rubio, Kapatid TV host Maria Josefina “MJ” Romualdez Marfori, 27, exchanged vows with Kapuso reporter Oscar Elumba Oida Jr., 40, last Saturday afternoon, Jan. 30, at the San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila, capping a six-year romance that started when they covered the Department of Defense.

MJ is the third among the five children of Jose Enrique (deceased) and Teresita Romualdez, the daughter of Vicente Romualdez (the older brother of former First Lady Imelda Marcos). Oscar is the youngest among the four children (three are daughters) of former NBI director Oscar Oida Sr. and Beata Elumba Oida.

Among the principal sponsors (above) were PLDT-Smart big boss Manny V. Pangilinan, GMA boss Felipe Gozon, lawyer Ferdie Topacio, Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez and wife Councilor Cristina Romualdez, Arnold Clavio, Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Marissa Flores, Wilma Galvante, Mel Tiangco, Lolit Solis,  Lhar Santiago, Mike Enriquez, Vicky Morales and Sen. Bongbong Marcos.

The secondary sponsors (right) included Derek Ramsay, Raffy Tima, Jun Veneracion, Doland Castro, Ivan Mayrina, Emil Sumangil, Jiggy Manicad, Rhea Santos-de Guzman and IC Mendoza.

The newly-weds will honeymoon in Europe.
