MANILA, Philippines -  Pre-contest favorite policeman Neil Perez, 29 and standing 5’11”, of Tondo, Manila won 2014 Mister International Philippines, last Saturday evening at the Grand Theater of University of Makati, and was also named Mister Photogenic, Best in Swimwear, Mister Informatics, Mister Unisilver and Mister Globalink Travel (with all-expense paid round-trip to Bangkok).

Born Mariano Perez Flormata Jr., the  BS Criminology graduate from Manuel L. Quezon University and presently an SPO2 assigned with the Aviation Security Group in NAIA as a bomb specialist, will travel to Seoul, South Korea next month to compete in the 9th Mister International with finals slated on Oct. 18. Philippine bet Gil Wagas placed fourth runner-up last year.

The three other titleholders are Joseph Doruelo of Caloocan City, 2014 Mister Global Philippines; Adam Davies, of Fil-UK, 2014 Mister Model International Philippines; and Judah Cohen of Fil-USA, 2014 Mister Tourism International Philippines. Runner-up honors went to Nicko dela Cruz of Sta. Cruz, Manila. Doruelo is bound to Bangkok, Thailand; Davies to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and Cohen to Panama for their respective international pageant stints. — Reported by Celso de Guzman Caparas and Felix Manuel
