Solar News Channel now 9TV

MANILA, Philippines - Solar Television Network, Inc. announces that beginning Aug. 23  its brand Solar News Channel will officially change its name to 9TV. This heralds the beginning of the channel’s opportunity to reach a wider audience and strengthen its presence on free TV on RPN 9. 9TV will continue to focus its programming on news and information and beef up its weekend programming to cater to more viewers.

The Solar News organization will also now be known as 9News. All news, public service, current affairs programs and personnel will remain the same.

The change is only in the brand name; the network will retain its objectives and values.
