Diary ng Panget hits US theaters this month

MANILA, Philippines - Diary ng Panget, the teen romance-comedy that broke local box-office records, is set to invade international screens for Pinoys abroad, as it begins exhibition in American cinemas starting May 9 in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Virginia, Florida and Alaska.

Produced by Viva Films from the monster hit online romance novel of the same title by 20-year-old author Denny, a.k.a. HaveYouSeenThisGirl, the film launched to full stardom James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Andre Paras and Yassi Pressman under the direction of Andoy Ranay.

Diary ng Panget tells the story of Eya (Nadine), a poor, pimply-faced girl who works as a personal maid to the handsome but arrogant Cross Sandford (James). Even when Cross makes her life miserable, she sees to it that she doesn’t go down without a fight. Meanwhile, Eya becomes close to Chad (Andre), a varsity player seeking help in how to profess his love for Lory (Yassi), Eya’s best friend who happens to be in love with Cross. Now, Eya wonders who occupies Cross’ heart.

The Diary ng Panget’s international theater run will bring the #PangetFever to the following key cities in the US: Los Angeles — Orange Stadium Promenade 25, Century River Park 15, Century 8 North Hollywood, Cerritos Stadium 10; San Francisco — Tanforan, Milpitas Great Mall, Union City 25, Elk Grove Laguna 16, Hilltop 16 Richmond, Century 14 Vallejo; San Diego —UA Horton Plaza 14; Las Vegas — Village Square Stadium 18; Virginia — Military Circle 18; Florida — Festival Bay 20 Orlando; and Alaska — Century 16, Anchorage AK.
