Nikki breaks silence on breakup with Billy: 'Difference in values'

Chuck Smith - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - After weeks of keeping mum on the issue, Nikki Gil finally broke her silence on her breakup with Billy Crawford.

At the red carpet of the 7th Star Magic Ball at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati City on September 7, Nikki was asked about the numerous speculations regarding the cause of their separation.

Days after Billy talked about the breakup in an interview with ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz,” the actor-TV host was already linked to fellow Kapamilya artists Coleen Garcia (his “It’s Showtime” co-host) and Andi Eigenmann (his co-star in the Star Cinema-Viva Films comedy movie “Momzillas”).

But the Kapamilya actress refused to comment, saying it is no longer any of her business.

“Differences in values, that’s really what it was,” Nikki said on the reason of her split with Billy.

But Nikki, who will be part of the upcoming remake of the Mexican telenovela “Maria Mercedes,” said she has forgiven Billy.

“Sino naman tayo para di magpatawad? It takes two to tango, mayroon din naman tayong pagkakamali,” she said.

In any case, the 26-year-old singer actress said she is happy and fabulous.

“Syempre, pagdadasal and the support of family and friends, letting go, forgiveness and understanding,” she said on how she was able to recover from the breakup.

Nikki also revealed she just finished shooting a film with director Chito Roño.
