Celebs go extreme at Vaseline Men XTERRA

MANILA, Philippines - Some of the country’s stars took a quick breather from showbiz and engaged in a weekend of extreme off-road action when they joined the Vaseline Men XTERRA Weekend in Liloan, Cebu. The event was the first leg of the 2013 Vaseline Men XTERRA Off-road Triathlon Series.

Matteo Guidicelli led the stars who took part in the two-day event. He competed in the XTERRA Philippines Championship, a full triathlon where he ranked first in his age group.

Also braving the grueling challenges of the full triathlon was Paolo Abrera who finished sixth in his age group and Sen. Pia Cayetano who finished first in her age group.

Not to be outdone were Rovilson Fernandez and Boys’ Night Out hosts Slick Rick, Tony Toni and Sam YG, who all joined the trail runs. Rovilson conquered his limits and competed in the 21K trail run. Sam participated in the 10K category, while his co-hosts Slick and Tony took part in the 5K race.

Sports Unlimited host Dyan Castillejo and sportscaster Patricia Bermudez-Hizon were also present to witness the exciting off-road action and cheer on the participants.
