MANILA, Philippines - When you have a multiplex mall, twin vacation houses at an A-list subdivision in Tagaytay City, a mansion overlooking Taal Lake, another P160-M mansion in Ayala Heights (Quezon City), a private plane (with a bigger one coming soon), a yacht and an events place, what more can you wish for when you turn 51?
“What more?” asked Wil Time Bigtime host Willie Revillame who turned Golden Boy Plus last Friday, Jan. 27.
The “surprise” birthday bash, arranged by a group led by Willie’s trusted man Jay Montelibano, was held at Steaktown Events Place on Scout Esguerra, Quezon City. The dinner was catered by Florabel Co-Yatco and the program was hosted by Ate Gay and Joy Viado (who turned the affair into an enchanted evening with her cool rendition of old love songs).
The party started at way past 10 p.m. when Willie arrived from the airing of Wil Time at TV5 in Novaliches, Quezon City, waving here and there as everybody welcomed him with a rousing singing of Happy Birthday.
It was Willie’s first social function after the wedding of his Wil Time co-host Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad on Jan. 22 where he was sorely missed.
Asked why he wasn’t there, Willie said, “The spotlight should be on Shalani and Roman. It was their moment.”
