The best Christmas cards, 2011

FUNFARE - Ricky Lo -

Are Christmas cards, sob and sigh, passé?

Perhaps because of advances in technology, not many people bother to send Christmas cards like they did in olden times. They simply text. Sad!

That’s why I’m thankful to those who still do — send Christmas cards, that is. I treasure the cards even more than the stuff to which they are attached. Honest!

Every year, I pick the best of the lot. The ones that make it to the list are those that carry family portraits since, after all, isn’t Christmas a time for the family sharing whatever blessings together, celebrating the birth of Christ and thanking Somebody Up There for allowing them another year together?

Here they are, the best Christmas cards of 2011, with a special mention to the Jo San Diego for being the very first to send one as early as last week of October.
