Celebrating the Kapamilya spirit

The public has witnessed how ABS-CBN suffered big blows this year, but the Kapamilya network in its Christmas Special Tuloy na Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Pasko, held at Meralco Theater to be aired tomorrow night, focuses more on the milestones and victories ABS-CBN has shared with Filipinos through production numbers.

"There are more than a hundred reasons why ABS-CBN says Angat ang Ligaya ng Pasko," declares ABS-CBN chairman, president and CEO Gabby Lopez. "And, this is exactly what will overflow – a showcase of more than a hundred of our brightest stars, a display of more than a hundred warm, beaming smiles, a kaleidoscope of more than a hundred emotions, a stage for ABS-CBN to say thank you to all our Kapamilya."

The Christmas special, directed by Johnny Manahan, travels through the best times of 2006 – from the highly-successful One Water Campaign of the ABS-CBN Foundation to the launch of the ground-breaking Kapitan book to the triumphs of People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao.

The annual TV special also takes a glimpse on the trials the network has surpassed. ABS-CBN EVP Charo Santos-Concio says that "meaningful growth comes from pain."

Charo also paid tribute to the leadership of Gabby Lopez for standing by the network and its Kapamilya during the hardest of times. Charo adds that Gabby served as an instrument of hope to all members of the ABS-CBN family.

This was affirmed by the attendance of all ABS-CBN executives led by Santos-Concio and SVP for Television Cory Vidanes.

The two-hour musical extravaganza consists of 14 impressive production numbers with performances from Sharon Cuneta, Kuh Ledesma, Gary Valenciano, Toni Gonzaga, Sam Milby, Willie Revillame, Sarah Geronimo, Zsa Zsa Padilla and Piolo Pascual.

Makisig Morales, Eliza Pineda, Sam Concepcion, Pinoy Dream Academy scholars and Star Magic artists will provide youthful vibe to the event.

Maricel Soriano, Ai-Ai de las Alas, Charlene Gonzalez, Boy Abunda, Albert Martinez, Korina Sanchez, Aga Muhlach and Dolphy will also grace the event.
