CEBU, Philippines -  Two persons were found dead in separate incidents in Toledo City and Carmen town recently.

Yesterday morning in Barangay Talavera, Toledo City, the body of Jerson Caparida Sanchez, 23, a security guard with the Angelic Security Agency and assigned to the NTC National Power Corp., was found lying supine on a table in the company staff house by maintenance man Renato Engaling.

The victim’s face had stab wounds and lacerations.  His Norinco 9mm pistol was missing and believed to have been stolen by the assailant.

Police are now looking for Alsped Allecer, 21, of Barangay Captain Claudio, Toledo City, for questioning.  Allecer just resigned as maintenance man last Thursday.

SPO3 Henry Acosta of the Toledo City Police station said Allecer and Sanchez had bad blood between them after Allecer caught Sanchez bringing a woman into the staff house a month ago.

“Gibaharan man ni Sanchez si Allecer nga dili pasabaon kay nasakpan man nga nagdala ug babaye sa staff house,” Acosta said.  Allecer reportedly resigned because he did no longer wanted to work with Sanchez.

The victim’s body was taken to the St. Francis Funeral Homes in Barangay Poblacion for autopsy.

In Carmen town, the body of Roberto Pahilangco, 63, of Sitio Tubigan, Barangay Dawis Sur, was found dead with a head wound about a kilometer away from his house last Thursday morning.

Police said Pahilangco was last seen doing laundry before he was found dead by his neighbors.  They suspect he slipped on some rocks while hanging his wash.

They advised the family of the fatality to submit his body to an autopsy.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed his 18-year-old son last Thursday night in Barangay Busay, Cebu City.

Pablo Malazarte, 67, a construction worker, reportedly stabbed his son Paul Nazareno after they had an argument.

Police said the two were eating when they got into an argument and Nazareno threw a plate at his father.  Paul went inside their house and his father followed him inside and stabbed him.

Malazarte would later say he had no intention to stab his son and just pointed the knife at him to scare him, but his son abruptly approached him and injured himself in the chest.  Malazarte added that his son often caused trouble with their neighbors.

Nazareno was rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center, but PO1 Esmer Escultor said the victim will not file a case against his father.  /BRP (FREEMAN)
