Two drunk men die in bike crash
CEBU, Philippines - Two men died after their motorcycle rammed into a coconut tree in Sitio Pajo Dos, Barangay Pajo, Daanbantayan town dawn yesterday.
Leogen Pepito, 26, and Manny Aragon, 24, both residents of Barangay Maya of the same town, died of severe injuries in their heads and the different parts of their bodies.
Based on the investigation conducted by the police, Pepito was the one driving the Suzuki Rider Motorcycle with plate number GU-2474 with Aragon on pillion.
The two allegedly came from a videoke bar not far from where they crashed and were on their way home to Barangay Maya when the accident occurred.
Police believed they were drunk and Pepito lost control of the vehicle while traveling on a zigzag road with no headlights. The victims were also not wearing helmet.
PO2 Edwin Dignos of traffic section said after the victim rammed onto the coconut tree, they were thrown away and hit the asphalted road. Due to the impact, the heads of the victims were broken and the motorcycle was badly damaged
They were immediately brought to the Daanbantayan District Hospital but were pronounced dead on arrival. (THE FREEMAN)
