Man shot to death in front of family

A 55-year-old man was shot to death in front of his family in barangay Tagbubungan, Asturias town last Saturday.

Asturias policemen said they received report from the barangay captain that an unidentified man killed a barangay resident, Geronimo Papaya, at the latter's house right before his family. Papaya's family said the assailant, they could only described as in his 30's and Ilonggo-speaking, escaped to the direction of Balamban town.

The police are currently conducting investigation on the identity of the killer and the motive behind the slaying. -Therese Marie Amodia, STC intern
