Supermodel Danica Magpantay talks about hardships; Ryan Bang reveals why he can’t leave Phl

CEBU, Philippines - Actor-host Ryan Bang explains why he continues to turn down job offers in his home country Korea and why he refuses to leave the Philippines in his one-on-one interview with Anthony Taberna in “Tapatan ni Tunying” today, August 8.

“I have second thoughts. Of course, I want to work in Korea, but I am still very happy here. If I return to Korea, I will miss the Philippines. I wouldn’t be able to handle it,” reveals Ryan.

Ryan also recounts his and his family’s struggles before his stint in “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash” where he won second place and entering showbiz.

International supermodel Danica Magpantay, meanwhile, also takes Tunying’s hot seat and admits that at the age of 20, she is already a millionaire.

“Yes, I am a millionaire. It’s a job that pays well as long as you work well,” says Danica, who rose to recognition after winning the Ford Supermodel of the World in 2011.

After signing an international modeling contract, Danica immediately moved to New York, leaving her family, friends, and studies behind. But before gracing the catwalk of New York for famous fashion brands from Europe and Asia, Danica also dealt with rejections. How did she cope with these?

“Back then, I thought that I wouldn’t be affected. I would only say that it’s okay, but when you get rejected eight or even 10 times, you would start doubting yourself,” she says.

Don’t miss two stories of young individuals making big names in other countries while away from their families in “Tapatan ni Tunying” (TNT) today, August 8, 4:15 PM on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold. For updates, follow @TNTunying or like www.facebook.com/TNTunying. (FREEMAN)
