CEBU, Philippines - Amid the stiff competition in the retail trade area where it belongs, Jollibee – Mango Avenue branch in Cebu manages to stand out by continuously committing itself to deliver quality service, excellent customer relationship and consistent cleanliness for 21 years.

The Mango Avenue branch of Jollibee in Cebu City, considered to be the first Jollibee store in the province, celebrated its 21st anniversary last Wednesday.

Jollibee currently has 25 outlets in Cebu City alone.

Jollibee assistant restaurant manager Rhys Gabato said in an interview that the Mango Avenue store manages to achieve its targeted sales every month despite the tough competition in the industry with the emergence of various fastfood chains and other related establishments in the vicinity.

He added that the strategic location of the branch in the center of the metropolis attributes the high foot traffic of customers and patrons of Jollibee.

He also said that majority of its market is comprised of students and medical professionals who are frequent in the same area.

Since it is also a 24-hour service outlet, he cited that the Jollibee Mango Avenue branch also caters to employees who are working on a graveyard shift particularly from outsourcing companies and recreational establishments.

He said that similar with other Jollibee outlets, the Jollibee Mango Avenue branch offers complete business channels such as delivery, drive thru, party packages for birthdays and reception, and business meetings aside from their usual walk-in customers.

The Jollibee Mango Avenue outlet that can accommodate 260 persons has 80 employees working consecutively for the round-the-clock service.

Gabato further noted that they primarily value cleanliness in their store in line with the dedication of every Jollibee outlet towards excellent standards in terms of food, service and cleanliness.

“We believe that first impression lasts. If the store looks shabby, they will hesitate to enter and eat. As much as possible, we conduct our general cleaning activity twice a month,” he said.

He added that customer satisfaction, being one of the priorities of the company, enables Jollibee to be one of the most-preferred fastfood chains in the country.

“We always aim to make our customers feel that the Jollibee store is their second home. With our personalized customer service, they continue to patronize us. In return, we are open to their feedback and regularly offer promotions as we understand the needs of our valued clientele,” he said.

He also shared that the Mango Avenue branch has been hailed as one of the Gold Store Awardees of the Jollibee for the past two consecutive years. They are also hoping to earn the same award this year.

“What they have experience for the past 21 years shall still continue with what is expected in the coming years. We aim to exceed their expectations in delivering their food, providing them a comfortable ambience and ensuring value for their money and time,” Gabato concluded.

Jollibee is the largest fast food chain in the Philippines, operating a nationwide network of over 750 stores.

It has also ventured into an aggressive international expansion plan in United States, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Brunei.

Its popular menu line-up includes Chickenjoy, Yumburger and Champ hamburger and Jollibee Spaghetti. /JOB (FREEMAN)
