In an interview during the opening of their 58th branch at the Parkmall in Mandaue City, Mang Inasal’s VP for Operations Elmer Hementera said that Mang Inasal currently has 59 branches nationwide and was able to establish presence in key cities all over Visayas, Mindanao and Luzon areas in only a span of four years.
Simultaneously with the opening of their franchised Parkmall branch, Mang Inasal also opened two more branches in SM Valenzuela and Puerto Princesa in
Hementera said that they are looking at the huge prospect of attracting the market of Savemore in Parkmall as well as the crowd that will be going to the mall once it starts full operations.
Mang Inasal started in the food industry in December of 2004 in
Distinct from the usual food presentations of multinational food companies, the company aims to bear a distinctively Pinoy stamp through grilling with charcoal, serving rice wrapped in banana leaves and preparing marinade concoctions sourced from local herbs and spices.
Currently, Mang Inasal has 15 company-owned restaurants while the rest from the 59 total branches were franchised by investors who were also avid diners of Mang Inasal and have been impressed by the company’s products and system.
Hementera announced that the major goal of the company this year is to grow their business and establish 80 branches nationwide to make “Mang Inasal” a household name in the food industry.
“Anywhere we go, well-accepted ang Mang Inasal at wala pa kaming store na inopen na walang nagpupunta kasi talagang pinupuntahan kami ng mga tao (We have not opened a store that is not well-accepted by customers because they always come to us), said Hementera.
Here in
Hementera announced that they will be opening another branch in Tabunok this July and they are also looking at other strategic locations to open more new branches in the area. — Rhia de Pablo
